The Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo Museum is located in the village of Nogueras in the municipality of Comala, and is part of the “Conjunto Cultural Universitario Nogueras”.
In what was the former Hacienda of the Rangel family, a construction of thick and old walls, are the four rooms that make up the museum and contain the collection of pre-Hispanic pieces gathered by the designer and illustrator Colimense, as well as a selection of his artistic works consisting of paintings, furniture and ironwork.
As part of the museum's permanent exhibition, the work that Rangel Hidalgo did as a designer in "Artesanías Comala", during the first part of the 70's, is exhibited; as well as the museographic recreation of an old Mexican kitchen with a great variety of pre-Hispanic and colonial utensils.
The room dedicated to the collection of pre-Hispanic ceramics, originating from the surroundings of Comala and coming from the “tombs of tiro”, in which a great showcase predominates with more than forty recreations of the pre-Hispanic animal world, conceived by the inhabitants of this region.
